Bronwynn Stollarz

AFRICA

Ms. Stollarz is an Investigative Psychologist specializing in threat assessment and management. Her expertise includes cases of workplace violence, family murder, intimate partner murder, serial rape, paraphilic behavior, hostage and suicide negotiation, kidnapping, and product tampering extortion.

For five years, Ms. Stollarz served in the South African Police Service’s (SAPS) specialized Investigative Psychology Section (IPS), ascending to the rank of Colonel and Section Commander, Forensic Psychology. In this role, she consulted on criminal investigations and provided training on topics such as family murder, intimate partner murder, paraphilic behavior and other psychologically motivated crimes.  Ms. Stollarz is also a trained SAPS Hostage Negotiator.

Ms. Stollarz is a board member of the African Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (AfATAP) and a member of the Association of European Threat Assessment Professionals (AETAP). She is also a Certified Threat Manager (CTM) by the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP). Ms. Stollarz holds an Honorary Staff position in the Division of Forensic Medicine and Pathology at WITS University. She also consults to Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital conducting criminal capacity assessments in terms of Section 11 of the Child Justice Act.

Ms. Stollarz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Psychology, an Honors degree in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand (Cum Laude).
